Last weekend, we teamed up with Common Grounds Uncommon Coffee in Downtown for our first Latte Art 101 class! We had two different groups come in, and y'all, it was a ton of fun.
We wanted to share some highlights about the class in case you didn't get to go this time or are interested in attending in the future!
We first started out with a little introduction to pulling espresso shots. We learned about the importance of crema and tampering and both of their roles in creating latte art!
Each of us practiced pulling our own shots,
Then learned how to steam the milk,
And how to pour latte art!
Some of us were definitely more successful than others, but the Common Grounds baristas were amazing at guiding us through the entire process. It will definitely take a ton of practice to get it down, but it was a great introduction to latte art with some hands on experience as well!
We can't wait for the next class! If you have any suggestions for other classes we should host, please let us know in the comments below!
