Yama Kitchen in Pasadena just opened their doors, and this place is a game changer! All-you-can-eat sushi and Korean BBQ under one roof? Yes, please! The space is huge, modern, and designed to impress. This is a new restaurant, but we can see it becoming a popular destination for birthday parties or group dinners!
Yama Kitchen comes from the same folks behind Sushi Haya, so the sushi quality is exactly what we expected—fresh, quality fish. The all-you-can-eat menu includes a long list of rolls, nigiri, and small plates that taste like they were made to order, and comparable to actual sushi restaurants!
On the Korean BBQ side, the selection is just as strong. We tried the pork belly, short rib, and toro beef, and each one hit the mark. The meats were quality, well-marinated, and came out quickly. The grill setup is clean and easy to use, and each table even has its own oil-spray bottle so you don’t have to wait for staff assistance in between meats!
Dinner pricing is $30.95 per adult for either sushi or KBBQ, and if you want to do both, it’s just $6 more—which we definitely recommend. For kids, the pricing is fair too: $19.95 for ages 7–10 and $14.95 for ages 4–6. If you’re looking for a more chill midday option, they’ve got a-la-carte lunch specials Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Happy Hour runs from 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. Drinks, sushi, BBQ—Yama Kitchen really does it all. They even have a huge private room for parties and a dancing Pikachu to celebrate with you. We’re already thinking about our next visit and who to bring back!
