Asian Cajun Crawfish Boil Restaurant: LA Crawfish

If you’re like us and wish it was always Crawfish season, you’re going to want to check out LA Crawfish! Not only do they serve all the Cajun classics, but their menu also includes some unexpected Asian-Cajun fusion dishes that are sure to surprise you!

Found at multiple locations across Houston, LA Crawfish has a walk up counter for you to order at and is great for both dining in or taking to go! And yes, they always make sure to give you a bib, so you can enjoy your food no matter how messy it gets. We don’t judge!

On our most recent visit we tried a wide variety of their menu items, starting with the Cheesy Crawfish rolls! Imagine if a jalapeno popper and a crawfish egg roll had a baby together and that is how we would describe this dish. We firmly believe that everything is better with cheese, and Crawfish turns out to be no exception!

For main dishes, some of our favorites here are the Japanese Ponzu and Thai Green Chili Oysters, Taiwan Five Spice Basil Wings, and Crawfish Pho.

Their famous Crawfish Pho starts with a delicious cajun infused broth. Mixed in are hand peeled pieces of Crawfish tail meat as well as the classic andouille sausage. The bowl is topped with traditional pho accouterments and boy oh boy did this hit the spot!  All of the crawfish pieces were tender and flavorful from soaking in the cajun broth.

If you’re having trouble making up your mind about what you want to eat off of their very large and expansive menu, not to worry. They have combos!! You can have your own personal crawfish boil with their Gold or Silver Seafood combo. We went with the Silver which came with  2 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb of shrimp, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of clams, 2 orders of fried rice, 4 pieces of corn, 4 pieces of potato, and 1 order of beignets plus your choice of side sauces. Okay so MAYBE you would need to share this boil with someone but still, variety is the spice of life, as they say!
