Jack & Ginger's: Austin-Based Irish Pub Now Open in Houston

As of last November, Houston officially has a Jack & Ginger's in Midtown! Originally from Austin, this Irish pub is known for their extensive whiskey selection and delicious Irish and American comfort food. The large open patio and tables make for the ultimate destination for big groups looking to hangout or watch a sports game.

During our visit, we tried a few dishes of the appetizers menu and a few different drinks.

AVOCADO HUMMUS || Fresh avocado, tahini, green peas, garbanzo

SHRIMP CORNDOGS || With malt vinegar mayo

CLASSIC JUMBO LOCAL PRETZEL || Beer cheese, honey mustard

JACK'S IRISH COFFEE || Katz's Irish cream Coffee, Jameson, Bailey's whipped cream

RED HEAD IN BED || Grey Goose Citron vodka, muddled strawberries, lemon juice topped with sparkling wine

PALOMA AS FECK || Dulce Vida Grapefruit Tequila, muddled jalapeno, squirt

And watch out world, we also just received word that 77 Degrees , another Union Venture Group concept, will be opening upstairs from Jack & Ginger's in March! Talk about the perfect cocktail spot complete with cabanas, Caribbean-inspired tapas and cocktails, and a view of the downtown skyline.
