Largest Carnival Ship Sets Sail: Carnival Jubilee

Anchors away! Carnival Cruise line has a BRAND NEW ship, the Carnival Jubilee! It is the newest and largest ship in their fleet and we were so fortunate to get to spend a week cruising and exploring all that it has to offer. We were absolutely blown away by that sheer amount of dining, entertainment, activity, and relaxation options this ship had on board. So let’s, DIVE in! 

When you first board the ship you are greeted by a STUNNING atrium, The Grand Central, that will immediately blow you away. With floor-to-ceiling windows, 14-foot LED screens, and a ceiling of 1,400 color-changing lights it was truly a sight to behold. We felt instantly swept away into the vibrant world of this ship. 

On board you will find 21, yes TWENTY ONE, different restaurants. Obviously we couldn’t try them all in one voyage but boy do we wish we could have! They have a host of celebrity chef restaurants including Guy’s Burger Joint (Guy Fieri’s spot), Shaq’s Big Chicken, and Emeril's Bistro 717! Amongst a plethora of quick service and casual dining options, the Carnival Jubilee has included a few fine dining restaurants in case you’re looking for a date night or more elevated evening. Everything we ate onboard was delicious and they had restaurants for pretty much any craving or occasion!

In addition to all of the food options on the ship, they also have a TON of amazing bars to check out! One of our favorites was The Golden Mermaid. This was a sunken treasure themed bar that was bedecked with gold accents all throughout and served up some truly amazing drinks (I think we figured out what the real hidden treasure was here). 

Now we totally understand if all you want to do on your cruise is eat and drink. But if you’re looking for some fun activities you will have PLENTY of options to choose from. One of the highlights of this ship is the first of its kind cruise coaster, Bolt: The Ultimate Sea Coaster! On this ride you are in the driver's seat of a motorcycle style electric coaster, so you can control your own speed! It takes you all around the top deck of the ship and gives you the chance to see some stunning views of the ocean. 

For some chiller activities you can check out any of the pools, 3 water slides, ropes course, mini-golf course, and basketball court on board! 

If you’re really looking to unwind and relax, the Jubilee is home to the Cloud 9 Spa where you can enjoy massages, facials, hair and beauty treatments, as well as a thermal suite. For an ultra luxurious experience we checked out the Serenity retreat area. This is an adult only section of the ship that included cabanas, a hot tub, and cocktail & app service! It was the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the ship and unwind. 

To top it all off, the Carnival Jubilee has tons of entertainment options from live music, comedy shows, a piano bar, and even Family Feud Live! 

You will truly never be short of things to do on this amazing new ship and we were SO GLAD we got to check it out! Plus, it sails out of Galveston so it’s just a short drive away to the port. If you’re in need of a vacation, you definitely can’t go wrong with this cruise!
