Hanshin Pocha has quickly become one of our favorite Korean spots in Katy Asia Town! They offer a cozy and unique experience that brings the lively atmosphere of a Korean street market right to Houston! The charming eatery is set up with traditional red tents to imitate Korea’s street food culture, giving it an inviting, almost private vibe— it’s the perfect place for a fun night out or a late dinner with friends.
When it comes to food, we couldn’t get enough of the dishes we tried. The Stir-Fried Pork and Kimchi with Tofu was a knockout! It was a table favorite that we absolutely recommend. For those feeling a bit more adventurous, the Grilled Beef Intestine is a must-try! It sounds intimidating, but trust us when we say you will be going for seconds. It just carried this addicting grilled, savory flavor that was hard to put down. And for those who love soup, the Volcano Maratang is a huge, sharable dish packed with meat, veggies, noodles, and a touch of heat designed to keep you warm during the chilly winter!
During the holiday season, Hanshin Pocha has some awesome deals that are definitely worth checking out. For just $9.99, you can enjoy soju and a selection of comforting soups, including kimchi, soybean, and seaweed. And their specialty soups—spicy crab, beef rib, ugeoji, and spicy beef—are priced at $13.99!
Hanshin Pocha is open daily from 4 PM to 2 AM, so it’s a great option for a late-night meal. And with their holiday specials running through the end of the year, there’s no better time to check it out! If you haven’t been yet, we highly recommend planning your visit soon—this place has quickly become one of the best spots for Korean, not to mention a total vibe!
