We know the scenario all too well: Your friends are asking you to go out for a drink, but your favorite four-legged family member isn't allowed at the bar they're suggesting for the night. Dog parents, rejoice!
We've put together a list of our top ten favorite bar patios in Houston, Texas that are dog friendly, so you can bring Fido along for the fun!
Located in Midtown, Barkley's is a full service bar and restaurant that allows dogs to be off leash and run around at their dog park! Their food and drink menu is HUGE and delicious. When we went, Koda loved running around with all of the other pups – #KodaApproved.
They have a HUGE patio (16,000 sqft), tons of beer on tap, and dog-friendly?! Triple whammy! Call up all of your friends for a night over at East End Backyard for some food trucks, beer buckets, and a chill night with your dogs.
PS: They also have an off-leash area for your dogs to run around!
Don't leave your sports-loving pup at home for the next big game! Little Woodrow's in Midtown is a great spot to catch any game while making sure your pupper gets enough love and attention. On especially warm days (we know how Houston weather can be...), your dog can stay cool in their doggie pool.
Bacco Wine Garden is a bar in Montrose with both indoor, outdoor, and rooftop seating (yes, it’s huge). We loved how spacious the outdoor seating was – it's perfect for bringing your furry friends for a chill night around the fire pits.
This cute neighborhood bar is becoming a favorite over here! Head over to Local Group Brewing just outside of Downtown for good food, great beer, and a relaxing time with your dog. We could spend all afternoon here trying all of their beers and finding a new favorite!
The Patio at Pit Room is the perfect place to grab some Texas barbecue and chill catching up with some friends (and their dogs, duh). Get your food at The Pit Room, drinks over at The Patio, and unwind with some puppy love!
Saint Arnold's Beer Garden is a HUGE outdoor space, which makes it a perfect place to bring your pup for a night out. You won't miss a second of the game with their 16-foot Super Screen! It's a win-win situation for everyone involved.
Listen up all my Heights neighbors! Bungalow Heights is the cutest bar with a good size patio to chill on with some friends, family, or by yourself the next time you need something to do to get out of the house with your dog! They have great bites and drinks (get the Loaded Potato Bombs & the Bloody Mary) and they have brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Check out Onion Creek Cafe for a similar, yet different vibe. Bring your laptop and work during the day, or chill on the patio with your pup as the sun sets! They also serve brunch, lunch, dinner, and some great drinks and craft beers on tap to check out.
This spot is perfect for a super chill, spontaneous night – with your doggo of course! You HAVE to hit up the taco truck right next door (Tacos Tierra Caliente) to flawlessly pair with your beer.
